Since the beginning of time, we have sought to bring out the best in ourselves, using beauty products such as shampoos, conditioners, skin lotions, balms, tonics and creams. We are inundated with choices for our skin; whatever our skin type may be, and whatever our desired result is, we hope to find a product on the market that suits us, but how much do we really understand of essential skin care? How knowledgeable are we on how the skin truly functions. We often respond to the market appeal of a product while often not truly appreciating how it works, why it gets results or if it is truly good for our skin. A large part of our decision is based on the container in which it is held, the glossy advertising that goes with it and whether we, as individual consumers can be confident that what we choose is going to be good. Often many products will be tried before finding one that really suits our skin. This is where essential oil blends are so unique.
We all seek to combat the enemy of all time, aging. As we become more sophisticated consumers, we expect more from our skin care products. Some of us simply want results without questioning the content of the product, while others seek to know that what they are putting on their skin is perfectly safe and beneficial. My essential oil blends are natural products that are not toxic, hypo-allergenic and will give us that wonderful result which we seek. This is how Mayo Plant Preparations began, many years ago, in fact, but was put on the shelf and used only personally by me. I am one for reading the labels on bottles and often some of the top brand cosmetics that were available, make me take a step back when I read the label with only a scatter of one or two products amongst a concoction of chemicals. One of the first oil preparations I made was the Nourishing Skin Oil which I have used ever since. I consider it superior to many products out there, but because it does not come with the big brand name and the fancy packaging, it is a treasure that could easily be overlooked. It is my desire to make this product available to others who are seeking a simple but superior skin treatment.
